UCS – Ultraflex Control Systems is an Italian family-owned company, part of the Ultraflex Group.
The Ultraflex Group is active in the Building, Marine, Industrial, Automotive and Renewable Energies fields, with 85 years of experience in manufacturing and worldwide distributing the highest quality and most innovative products.
UCS is based in Busalla, close to Genoa, and the products are Made in Italy.
Its activity in the remote control for windows started about 50 years ago, in the 70s, with the development of reliable and economical manual controls. In the 90s, the introduction of electrical actuators and related automatic meteorological control created the conditions for a rapid expansion of the European Market first and therefore of the rest of the world. The export share is stably over 80% of the turnover, counting on a worldwide distribution network that contributes to the realization of hundreds of important, prestigious and advanced projects from the USA to New Zealand.
UCS is a leading company in the Fenestration and Building Automation Industry and a manufacturer of Natural and Smoke Ventilation Systems, its focus today is the integration of Window Automation into BMS-Building Management System.
Pioneer of the Smoke Ventilation in Italy, UCS represents Italy in European Technical Committees for the development of Technical Standard for Smoke Ventilation.

History
1935 – Activity start as a division of Ultraflex
1950 – Beginning of the activity in the Window Remote Control business
1970 – Development of own product line, Window Manual Controls
1980 – Introduction of electrical solutions
1988 – Ultraflex Control Systems srl become an independent company based in Sturla (Genoa – Italy), fully dedicated to the Building Industry
1995 – New facility in Casella (Genoa – Italy)
1997 – Quality Management System certified according to ISO 9001.
2003 – Expansion of the production plant in the current facility in Busalla (Genoa – Italy)
2005 – Certification of first actuators according to UL standards for the North American market
2008 – First test in fire conditions in conformity to the European Standard EN 12101-2
2011 – Certification of the complete range of actuators according to GOST standard for the Russian market.
2012 – Introduction of BMSline actuators: the first programmable and addressable window actuators for advanced buildings
2020 – Control Panel line certified as Smoke and Heat Control Systems according to the European Standard EN 12101-10
